PLATINISED ANODES
Titanium - Niobium
Tantalum - Zirconium
Platinum as an industrial product, has a profound use in view of
its inherent and special chemical as well as physical properties
like " high corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and
catalytic nature". Being a very expensive metal to be used
in its solid form, it is applied by electro-deposition on titanium
or niobium. Thus making it economical and at the same time retaining
the advantages offered by platinum.
Availability:
Pt. plated Titanium anode 1250 mm x 1000 Pt. |
Plated Niobium anode 600 mm x 400. |
Plating thick minimum 1.5 µ & max 20 µ . |
Anodes are available in the form of Sheet, mesh, pipe, wire,
rod & custom built. |
Advantages:
Light weight. Good current resistance. Long operating life: maintenance
free. Economical, due to low platinum requirements. High dimensional
stability and load resistance. Highly suitable as auxiliary anodes
of complex geometrical shapes.

Recommendation:
Both plated & Non-plated hanging hook, frame / band. |
Platinum plated Ti. anode for electrolytes without fluoride.
Platinum plated Nb. anode for electrolytes having fluoride.
Niobium substrate anode is to be used, where better conduction
is needed than titanium. |
Pt. plated Nb. is anode for sulphuric acid chromium plating
bath operated at current density greater than 75 amps / dm².
